Why don't we pay infected people to quarantine?

Going forward and as the lockdown is lifted, we should be giving incentives to infected people to reduce the spread of the disease. "Quarantine bonus" should be one of them. We should incentivize people to detect their infection early, and, if confirmed infected get paid a bonus for a 2-4 weeks quarantine.

This should be additional payment, on top of any paid sick leave. The purpose is to incentivize people to test, and to maintain their quarantine (if they are found to break quarantine, they have to give the money back). We are currently spending trillions bailing out Cruise lines, while a quarantine bonus would cost on the order of billions and would have a big impact in the long road to herd immunity.

Don't we want to get what we incentivize? A carrot is better than a stick.
